Viennese Weinwandertag

On September 29th and 30th, between 10:00am and 06:00pm the City of Vienna invites you to the annual ” Viennese Weinwandertag” (Wine Hiking Days). Those who are interested can not only enjoy the beautiful views over Vienna along the vineyards, but also taste some good drops and enjoy tasty delicacies.

Vienna has over 700 hectares of wine-growing area, which is truly unique for a vibrant city. The well-known and popular vineyards at Nussberg, Bisamberg, Kahlenberg and Mauer are managed by 190 winemakers and winegrowers full of dedication and knowledge about the unique product. The Danube as well as the surrounding Wienerwald create a small climate that is ideal for winegrowing.

Fresh Sturm, Grape juice or a fruity G’spritzer

In recent years, wine and hiking lovers could experience the idyllic backdrop for late summer temperatures and beautiful sunshine. A glass of fresh sturm (Wine in fermentation), grape juice or a fruity G’spritzer (white wine mixed with mineral water) fits perfectly with the gorgeous view of the city.
